This and That

This is an artistic expression of sexuality. Its two distinct components are the phallic and the vulvar symbols.

As I write this post I am finding new symbols in the nature of it, though originally, when I made the shapes a few years ago, my consciousness had a more limited view. The female part represented the circle of rebirth, sparked by the presence of the male seed. Their complementarity would create the beauty of the world as we see it.

Now, I would incline to consider it more in line with the Hindu philosophy where the yoni is the representation of life and the lingam is the symbol of the energy.

It is a simple representation of an energy flow, a repetitive circle of rebirths for the artist to excelsior. The rebirths may be any form of self awareness and self reprogramming.
